This Privacy Policy explains how HaBilkul (legal name: HEMANT SINGH, proprietorship, India) (“HaBilkul”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our websites, mobile apps, and related education-platform services (the “Services”).
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account details — name, email, phone, password or authentication tokens, role (e.g. student, teacher, admin).
- Profile and organisation data — academy/organisation name, profile image, and settings configured by your institution.
- Learning activity — course enrolments, progress, assessments, submissions, and similar education records.
- Device and usage data — IP address, device type, OS, app version, crash logs, and approximate diagnostics needed to run and improve the Services.
- Support communications — messages you send to us by email or in-app support.
If an academy uses HaBilkul for its students or staff, that academy may control additional data it uploads. In those cases, HaBilkul processes data on behalf of the academy as a service provider.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and secure the Services
- To create and manage user accounts and organisation workspaces
- To deliver courses, content, and learning features
- To respond to support requests
- To improve reliability, performance, and product quality
- To comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms
We do not sell personal information.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
We process personal data where needed to perform a contract (provide the Services), with consent where required, for legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Services, and to meet legal obligations.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Your academy/organisation — admins and authorised roles within your tenant may access data necessary for teaching and operations.
- Service providers — hosting, email, analytics, crash reporting, or payment partners who process data only to help us run the Services.
- Authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
6. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including providing the Services, resolving disputes, and meeting legal requirements. Organisation admins may request deletion of tenant data subject to technical and legal limits.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
Our Services may be used by academies that serve minors. Where an academy enrols a minor, the academy is responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent under applicable law. Parents or guardians may contact the academy and hemant@habilkul.com for privacy questions related to a child’s account.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, or ask questions about our processing. Email hemant@habilkul.com. If your account is managed by an academy, we may redirect your request to that academy.
10. International transfers
Our servers or service providers may process data in India or other countries. Where required, we take steps to protect information in line with this Policy.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
